Mass media plays a unique role in shaping of a society where men & women enjoy equal rights. Raising women’s legal awareness is important for the creation of an egalitarian society. This is brought up by several means, including psychological, social, economic, philosophical, awareness of human rights, political.. Mass media, however, continue to reproduce discriminatory stereotypes about women & portray them in sexist ways. As a rule, women are portrayed in a narrow range of characters in mass media. If we were to divide mass media into two categories, such as fictional and news-reporting, then in the former, women are often associated with the household or sex-objects, and in the latter category, they lack roles

.In advertising &magazines, women are usually portrayed as young, slim & with beauty that meets the accepted standards. Women with this kind of appearance are often associated with sex objects.

Today in the era of TV WORLD--"Taking into consideration that TV programs give information & reflect on gender roles in real life, it must be stated that women’s images are distorted & unrealistic in these programs. All kind of entertainment programs portray women in a dual image. Onthe other side we can say, they are shown as decorative objects. Yet, at the same time, they are passive individuals in the household and in marriage who are dependent on men for financial, emotional and physical support.”

. Many advertising companies use ploys to give the audience a reason to buy their product that they are trying to sell. For example, if you switch on your television set & you will see these types of advertisements in between your favorite sitcom. What we probably do not notice is the way that most women are portrayed in these advertisements. Most women in today's media are viewed as sex objects, and most advertisements use this as a way to sell a product. You might not notice this because this is a trend that has is common with advertising. This may seem to be a harmless way of promoting a product but these sexually provocative advertisements have had a grave effect on our society. Today's advertising industry has used women in a biased way causing repercussions to the women of today. BUT AT TIMES THE POTRAIT OF A WOMEN GIVES A NEGATIVE IMPACT FOR THE PRODUCT AS PEOPLE ASSUME THAT THE PRODUCTS TENDS NOT BE GOOD BUT ACTUAL , SO THEY HAVE POTRAITED THE WOMEN.

I remain unaffected by these images & never purchase the products in which the images of a women are shown, because a good product does not need the women images ,

When the media changes perhaps the stereotypes of women in real life will also begin to change . to show the real value of a women iethe beliefs held about the value of the family and the role of a woman in society. mostly all the cultures & traditions are inherited by the women in the society. to show the images of & biography of great women leaders who are ruuling their countries for example german chancellor - Angela Merkel.,Hillary Clinton - U.S state secretary .& many more.also the great personalities of women sports . to show these great women can minimize the impact of the images.
