STEP 1: In a discussion post of 200-400 words, demonstrate your understanding of concepts learned in this module by responding to the following prompt: Pick an age: 1, 3, 7, 12, 15, 22, 35, 50, or 75. Think of your own experience or the experiences of those you know at this age. Consider the major developmental theories you learned about in this module (psychosexual, psychosocial, cognitive, and moral), and apply them to the age of your choosing. Describe either your own experiences, experiences of someone else, or an imagined situation at this age and use appropriate terms and definitions from the module to describe that stage of development. Do you agree with the developmental theories that describe this age? Why or why not?
I take the age of 22 because I belong to that age group. According to the stages of development through various theories, in manu instances I have felt a connection. When a newborn baby is born, it is evident from its behaviors that whatever it gets it will immediately put inside the mouth. Tbis is explained by oral stage in psychosexual stages. It is a sign of gratification ir not is different thing. Same time baby will be faving trust issues, whether parebts will be there to safeguard ir not. Tbus is explained by trust v/s mistrust in psychosocial stages. In these two theories one is complementary to each other in many ways. When I was 2 years old, during the time if toilet training etc, I dont know if that bowel symptoms anykind of gratification or not. But Autonomy v/s shame and doubt. It us the time when kid try to do things on its own. Even when I was physically conscious, what is said in phallic stage is not comoletely acceptable. Oedipus coplex and electra comples are not so relatable to me. But initiative v/s guilt was tgere.. Similarly for The other two stages as well, saying everything in accordance with sexual pleasur is not acceptable. But the other one is mire realistic.
