Based on the textbook “Selling Building Partnerships" 10th edition Chapter 7's questions 8 and 9 on page 194, Although there is no firm rule, explain what you think to be the best time of day as well as the worst time of day for calling the following individuals as a saleperson: "a) a college computer/bookstore manager (to sell computer accessories; b) a manager at a glass installation and repair company (to sell a new tool to remove broken glass shards); c) a condominium complex manager (to sell a new camera security system); and d) an air conditioner contractor (to sell a new brand of air conditioning system)."
a) Best time to sell computer accessories would be during the daytime (i.e between 10 am to 12 pm)
It is so because , the students can use the computer during the time when they need it the most in the afternoon.
The worst time would be to , during evening hours . The college would be closed during that point of time and nobody will be there to attend the salesperson.
b) The best time would be during the evening hours . As during the evening hours , the area will be more or less empty .
The worst time would be during the morning hours , as it is the busiest time of the day . As the broken glass which are shattered over a large area should be gathered in a place very cautiously. So working this time of the day would be dangerous .
c) Best time : to sell in the morning hours . So that the whole day record is gathered and maintained.
Worst time : To sell at the end of the day . As it is would not be resourceful.
d) Best time : During afternoon. The work load is comparatively lower . ( if it is an office case)
Worst time : During the morning hours . It is so because people are busy during this point of time in office. People cannot attend them.
