Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: In any given day, you may use several different communication models without realizing it. Think about your week. Pick a day in which you communicated with several people. What model did you use in each interaction? Could you have used a different model in that situation? Why or why not? Consider other conversations you’ve had this week. As you think about your day, which model do you find you use most often? Why do you think that is?
I communicated with the following communication model during a particular day in specific situations in my Institution:
On first reaching my institution, i went straight to the coordinator to confirm about the today's schedule. During communicating with the coordinator of my department I made use of transactional model of communication as the information regarding the daily schedule and time tables flowed from sender to receiver simultaneously though asking questions and replying to queries but with sophisticated dialogue and delivery.
While communicating with my classmates and friends, i used Interactive model of communication model as communication taking place between us while making announcements about the time table involved discussion about the projects or and message was being sent straight to senders with an instant scope of feedback and response.
Linear communication model was used used while I presented my speech or presentation to the audience during seminar that took place during the day with the topic of women empowerment. As here the communication followed a straight line with little scope of response or feedback.
.....
Yes I could have made use of Interactive communication model while presenting my speech during seminar through making the program interactive and two way by answering questions, inviting opinions and suggestions etc. This way I could have gained feedback about my speaking skills and also made audience more interested in the program.
.
After contemplating my communication during this week, the Interactive communication model is the most common one used by me the most of the time because I mostly like to interact with people with the intend of getting information from multiple sources, getting opinions on various issues, asking for suggestions, making discussions etc.
