In your opinion, should young offenders have their names published in the media? Should the restriction be removed? (answer should be yes)
I believe it is the intensity of the crime that makes a person either a brutal criminal or just a criminal by-chance. However, in the cases where the crimes have been severe, I feel there should not be any restrictions in revealing the name to the Public because they do deserve a humiliation and not to be lost in the world of anonymity for the terrible crime they would have committed. That shall aptly set an example to even the juveniles who have the potentiality of committing harsh crimes during their early ages of their lives itself. Besides, I feel, if a juvenile is matured enough to commit a crime, then such a person should be matured enough to deal with the ‘notoriety tag’ given by the Public by way of their names being published in the media. In fact, that is also a wiser thing to be done to ensure that the Public is also aware of their dark past and is accordingly warned to be careful while dealing with such offenders.
