For each of the following define, how each are identified from incremental exercise and what happens metabolically for each to occur
i) VO2max ii) GET iii) VT1 iv) VT2
1.VO2 Max:
-V: volume O2: oxygen ,Max-maximum
- it's is the maximum rate of oxygen consumption measuring during incremental excerise.
Incremental excerise means it is an excerise which increase the intensity with the time it is used during fitness tests like cardio respiratory fitness.
Metabolically- if the rate of oxygen consumption increased during excerise what happens is muscle cells will obtain more energy by aerobic metabolism and increase the utilization of free fatty acids or intra muscular triglycerides which ultimately helps in building the energy production.
2- GET-
GRADED EXCERISE TEST.
It is the test evaluates the excerise capacity of an individual. Used to determine the relationship between the physiological system and the excercise performed to attain the intensity of oxygen consumption.
3.VT1-
-It is known as first ventilatory threshold.
-it is a metabolic marker which is observes the breathing intensity in a person, at this point the lactate ( metabolic by products) accumulates in the blood and breathing rate increases, and we cannot talk with others comfortably in this phase
- here breathe begins to increase.
Metabolically- accumulates the lactic acid which a by product in blood stream and makes in difficult to attain the activity at increased intensity.
4. VT2-
- it is known as second ventilatory threshold
- it is the higher maker where we observe rapid intensity of breathe at this point lactate quickly accumulates in the blood stream and we cannot even talk at this phase.
-it is also known as anerobic threshold.
