What are the roles of the following groups in the healthcare value improvement process: boards of directors, senior leaders, physicians, employees, and payers?
Each stakeholder mentioned below plays some role or the other in healthcare value improvement process, the same is explained as:
1) Boards of directors- Their role is to make certain decisions and policy wide changes so that the same is flown downwards and people get benefited from it, it could be related to employees or changes related to the expenses of the patients of better facilities and increase in the budget of technical machines in the system to provide better healthcare facilities.
2) Senior leaders- They have to lead by example and show the employees the importance of providing better healthcare facilities, their job is to ensure that the policies made by the board of directors are getting followed and people are religiously using them and also to resolve any problems of the employees in case they are not able to cope up with the change.
3) Physicians- They are the people who deal with patients and they have to make sure that they are providing adequate facilities to the patients, following all process and regulations to main quality standard.
4) Employees- have to abide by the decisions as they have been made company wide and also ensure that they are providing constant feedback to the management about how the processes can be improved because they are the actual staff who implements and use it so their feedback holds a lot of importance.
5) Payers- They should know for what they are paying and should be conscious of the facilities that they are getting in regards to what they are paying, if they feel there is a mismatch then it should be raised by them so that corrective measured can be taken.
