Negotiate the following situations:
A child wants to stay with his or her mother and not come with you to the examining room;
An elderly patient refuses to remove clothing for an electrocardiogram;
You contact a customer service representative regarding a service or product you paid for but are not satisfied with;
You want a raise, but your employer says the company does not have the money;
Your employer’s daughter calls and wants to speak to her mother right away. This is the fourth call within an hour and your boss does not wish to speak with her daughter again. You wish to remain on speaking terms with the child and obey your employer’s wishes.
1. Children are Really afraid of unfamiliar situations. While trying to do examination of a child, obviously he/ she refused it and try to be with his parents. The healthcare personal should try to convince the child and let the mother to accompany him to the examination room. The child actually afraid of the unfamiliar environment rather than the procedure. So allow the mother to be with him.
2. It is quiet a common scenario in the electrocardiogram situation, that many patients refused to remove their clothing for the procedure. The healthcare personal should provide proper explanation about the procedure of ECG to the patient beforehand. Ensure proper privacy to the patients also help them to overcome this situation. It would be better to attend the female patient by a female health care professional and male by a male. It would enhance more security. Elderly people are specially refused to change the dressings due to lack of knowledge about the procedure, and lack of security and privacy.
3. The things whatever we are buying with the belief of well performance level. But when we found it is not up-to the level, we could have contact the customer service. We have the right to ask for repair or replacement if warranty states that. We can complain. About the products to the customer service
4. I want to improve my career by increasing my income would be one of my ambition and right. But the employer is not enough money to pay for me is not my fault until I work perfectly for the company.
