If you had to write an in-depth research paper on a sleep disorder, which would you choose, and what direction do you think you would take when describing it? What would your paper be entitled? Be specific in describing the disorder. (Has to be 300 words)
Sleep disorder is the inability to sleep well at night that can be caused by various factors, such as stress, tiring of brain, health conditions, medications.
It is commonly known as insomnia, but there are other types of disorder too they are;
1. Sleep Apnea
2. Restless leg syndrome.
3. Narcolepsy.
4 Teeth grinding
5 Sleepwalking
There are many factors responsible for sleep disorder it can be stress, (family or work related), or health-related, or environmental, It is having a very bad negative effect on our body and mind. The body and min require to rest if no rest is given it develops multiple problems.
Most people experience it occasionally, but if it becomes frequent then it requires medical support, people may have the difficult time falling asleep resulting in tiredness decrease in their energy level and concentration. These sleep disorder can be symptoms of another underlying disease.
The fatigue, pain, nocturia or frequent urinating, persistent headache, or back pain during night time disrupts sleep.
The busy life and modern technologies are blessing but they are a reason of concern too. The stress level has increased tremendously, the study shows about 50 to 60 percent of an American citizen from the age of 29 to old age are suffering from the disorder. This shows the high amount of anxiety and stress level among adult people too. Old age is related to sleep disorder but youth disorder is due to a change in lifestyle and eating habits.
There are various medical treatments available for treatment like sleeping pills these are given for a short time and it works better if given in combination.
There is several grandmas remedy available that soothes the mind and provide good peaceful sleep. Our brain requires rest there several chemicals present in the brain that affect our health, The warm milk helps in relaxing the muscles if taken together with Almond it is a good source of calcium, food rich in magnesium, vegetables, wheat germ, pumpkin seeds, watermelon. There are several herbs that too helps in combating sleep disorder.
Regular exercises especially in the morning, is very useful, change in environment and concentrating more on positive aspects of life rather than negative aspects, Medical treatment and advise is also required to rule out ant underlying disease.
Reading a good book instead of gluing to TV or mobile phones will help to reduce sleep disorder as the modern gadgets are full of radiations that affect the eyes and brain. And a book is soothing relaxing and informative.
