1)Modern families often have fewer or no children. Now the familiy is very small constiting only the husband and wife and its trending now, but it have a great impact on the later life. when the childless couples enter into their oldage, there will no one to take care of them and to support them.usually oldage is period in which the person need utmost care and support. It is too difficult that getting older without the family and children.age also brings health concerns.Historically, it is the children of the elderly who typically serve as primary caregivers ,they monitor their parents health , oversee their financial decisions and serve as watchdogs for their lives. Persons without children, will need to make alternate arrangements, such as they have to seek help from support systems, the will have to move towards elderly friendly environment. They have to consult a geriatric care manager, who will be able to help him with medical, psychological, and personal needs of the elderly person.so childless couples will certainly have to face some of these difficulties and it will have a negative impact in their emotional life.
2) Modern families start famlies much later in life than before. Now the family size is reducing only to husband and wife. Fertility rates has been very low in many countries and they start families much later than before.one of the reason can be poverty.poverty risks is higher in jobless families.family formation pattern are also changing. The number of women entering into workforce is also increasing and it has also become a reason to start the family life later.women are not ready to lookafter the children because it is considered as a huge responsibility.it is very difucult to loof after the children along with their job. Now more women are engaged in work and education and have a increase access to contraception facilities leading to women choosing to start family life later or choosing to have fewer children. All these can cause a negative impact in their later life as they need more care and support in oldage. There will be no one to take care of them in their oldage and it is a situation that cannot be even think of.
