How can work packages be used to control long duration projects since we don't have details of the work that will need to be performed in the future?

Every project has it's limitation and deadlines of the completion. If proper planning is not made, It become difficult to meet such deadlines. Work packages can be beneficial in to finish the project within time.

Work package is the group who perform small activities or functions within the project. Those tasks are the part of project and related to project completion steps. This is the part of project work which have been breakdown in different steps and those parts are handled by different group which called work packages.

In this work packages, each team has been assigned with specific task with deadline. work packages perform their tasks simulteniously with the multiple teams. Each team try to complete the given tasks in given specific deadline. This way management can get quick review of the completion of project by looking at the completion of work packages. Different group of individual work parellely so that multiple tasks can be finished at the same time. Which will lead to reduce the project completion time or meet the exact deadline of the project. This process saves the time of project completion as well as it gives more detailed structure of every area of the project with it's completion stage.

Once all the teams in work packages, completes their tasks, all the tasks can bring together as entire project. It also helps to control the cost and budget of the project at work packages level. The scenarios like where company is not sure about the work that will need to perform in future, company can implement the work packages technique, where the future tasks can be assigned to the related work packages team and company will have the structured workforce to handle the project if anything unexpected requirement comes up during the project.
