State the advantages and disadvantages of using a virtual private network
Ans- a virtual private network is a private networks running on a public network. It is the extension of a private network that incorporates links over public networks. It allows us to communicate among computers across a public network in a way that uses a private connection.
Advantage-
A- reduced cost- when we deploy VPN's can save organisation a substantial amount of money. It only utilizes the public meeting to make the private connection via current broadband providers.
B- scalablity- the cost to construct a dedicated private network is vast and increases when your organisation expands. VPN's eliminate this scalablity issue by simply utilizing the public network capacity.
Disadvantage-
A- security- it ensure secure connection but it is relative instead of absolute as information is passed through public networks.
B- less bandwidth- one of the biggest pitfall is insufficient bandwidth. The more user of VPN connection, the less bandwidth is left for an individual.
