The CIO of Independence Medical Center, a Vila Health hospital, wants to create positions to support its data management and governance plan. You have been asked to spearhead the project and identify three key positions.

I found a lot of different information on how to begin a project like this. There were actually a lot of recommended positions to consider. However, one of the first positions I would consider is the Steering Committee. The committee would consist of stakeholders, and the high ranking members of the departments being covered. They are in charge of the governance process across the organization. They will maintain policies and procedures, as well as, information quality.

Another section would be the support team. This will consist of the Data Owner. That will be the person to contact for any issues with data. A Data Steward who creates policies and coordinates the collection of data. The Data Architect is the maps out the structure that will be relevant to the needs of the organization.

The third position that I would look at is Policy and Procedure Enforcement. Major issues can occur from bad data, or improper management procedures. This section would enforce policies, and procedures to ensure better practices throughout the organization.
