Would you prefer a job that required you to work long hours but provided more days off from work each week or a job that required fewer hours per day but also provided fewer days off? Why? Why not? Would your work environment affect this decision? If yes, how does it affect your decision? If no, why does it not affect your decision?

Expert Solution

The answer to the question depends upon the preferences of an individual and the job of the person. Currently, I am associated with the job where long working hours with few days off from work each week are necessary.

I would prefer a job that required to work long hours but provide more days off from work each week as I like to travel, read, and cook different cuisines. Long weekends will provide me an opportunity to explore nearby places, and spend time with family members. Moreover, long weekends will give me time to read a variety of books and experiment with my cooking skills.

In my case, the work environment would not affect my decision as I keep motivated myself from my inner strength. I believe that I have a lot to learn to achieve my goals. So the work environment impacts little to me. I want long weekends to work on my hobbies and interests, not to avoid the work environment. I strongly believe that external factors are less responsible for such decisions, the internal factors of motivation are key in decision making.

Please note that the given answer is based on my experience. You may not connect with the answer. Hope the answer will help you to understand the concept. Thank you.
