identify the specific region of the brain is activated first when it comes to basic decision making? Differentiate between primary and secondary reinforcers as it relates to the decision-making process. Explain.
Hello!
The specific region responsible for basic decision making in the brain is known as the Lateral Frontal Pole that is situated in the Frontal Cortex.
Primary reinforcement; so this reinforcement is very basic something that is not a want but is a need as in food for survival is a given it is not a luxury as living organisms we need to get food to keep ourselves alive hence aspects like hunger ,water, air ,sex and most importantly sleep is all basic needs of the human body to keep it going hence this is what matters first and it is primary.
secondary reinforcement; If you actually carefully understand there is a little connection with the primary and secondary reinforcement so as we discussed that primary reinforcement is all about the basics say food for example when we are hungry we need food but also food does not appear in the air you need to find ways to get food in this modern era most humans work to satisfy their basic needs as well.as their luxury wants because money is the strongest aspect that can provide you with anything so now that someone is hungry he has to work the reward here the money , can buy you any kind of food so money is the means or the medium that can provide you with what you need I pay at KFC and get my chicken so here in secondary reinforcement it's about the luxury and about focusing more than basic needs or ways to fulfil them .
Hence primary and secondary reinforcement are some how interlinked with each other .
Thankyou, hope this helped
