Expert Solution

It is often believed that testosterone levels have a huge role in determining whether an individual will be violent or not and it also affects how we perceive different genders on the basis of their usual testosterone levels. Although biologically it is true that higher testosterone levels can be associated with more impulsive and aggressive behaviour there are other factors which are psychological and sociological in nature which may contribute to detecting whether an individual will be aggressive or not.

One of the psychological factors that can come into play is the exposure to violence that an individual has during their development time period which can be explained using the Bobo doll experiment conducted by Bandura in 1961. One of the sociological factors which can have an impact on aggressive behaviour is the association of gender stereotypes and Gender roles created by the society, to understand this we can look at the social constructs concept of sociology.
