How does Frantzn Fanon explain "Black on Black" violence in his book Black faces White Mask?
Black skin, White Masks was representing the biggest social issue of the Black people in a white society. In this book Fanon explains how a well educated black person is treated in the white Society. This book explains how much racism a Black person has to face in the White Society. Black people are dominated by the White people in each and every aspect of living. This book also explains how the white society creates mental illness or problems for the black people by their racism and discrimination.
Fanon was very much interested to discover the experiences of a black person in the Caribbean which was located at the France. He found that the racist society of the France want people to be white. For this kind of racism, Black people want to be white but they are unable to become a White person. This kind of racism creates the mental illness for the black people.
Chapter 1 of the Book- In the Chapter 1 Fanon explains how an educated Black person was treated in a France. Such as when a black person speaks French language fluently he always reminded by the statement he can’t ever be a Pure French. In this chapter, Fanon describes how much the black people fees Uncivilized in a White Society.
Chapter 2 and 3 of the Book
In the chapter 2 and 3, Fanon explains how Black people are trying to mix up with the White people. Such as, Black Women wants to get a white boyfriend to have access in the White Society. A black person wants to follow the culture of the White people to be accepted in their society.
Chapter 4 and 5 of the Book
In the chapter 4 and 5 of the book Fanon explained how black people are developing an inferiority complex into them for the racism of the society. As the Society of white people always reminds them that they are black people at first after that they are a person. This kind of feeling creates inferiority complex in the Black people.
Black on Black Violence- Over-racism of White Society results the over- aggression of Black people. Discrimination of the society leads to the Over-sexualization of a Black person. Blackness becomes the evil to the European White Society. In that time, Black people were seen as a biological danger to the white Society. In the last chapter of the book, Fanon explains how he wants to treat the neurosis of the black people and how he wants to feel them to be adjusted in the reality.
