Provide the theorists attached to each, what each theorist is best known for, details in each of the theories and the critiques others have of the theories. What is your opinion of the social learning and cognitive development theories regarding whether you believe they are useful in explaining how children develop their gender identity. Jean piaget: He proposed cognitive development theory. He explained that learning is a result of experiencing events and this world. He proposed egocentrism and conservation in his theory.

MY OPINION:

Social learning theory:

This theory allowed psychologists think in new and innovative way. He is a great observer and thinker that's why he did not care about other theories and made them wrong.

Cognitive development theory:

He said an innovative word that " children will see this world in different perspective when compared to adults". Yes,really we have to agree this . This theory clearly explained the children cognitive development .

GENDER IDENTITY IN CHILDREN:

Social learning theory:

  Children aware of their gender identity by observing adults physical and psychological sides.

Cognitive development theory:

  children aware of their gender identity by their parent, care givers, or cause and effect
