A ball is kicked with a speed of 70ft/s at an angle of 45 degrees. Determine the total distance the ball travels, determine he height y when the ball reaches x=126 ft

Solutions

Expert Solution

the total distance the ball travels = u2 * sin(2theta)/g

                                                   = 702 * sin90/32.2

                                                    = 152.17 ft

Here, time , t =   126/(70 * cos45)

                       =   2.54 s

Thus,   height y when the ball reaches x=126 ft = 70 * sin45 * 2.54 - 1/2 * 32.2 * 2.542

                                                                           = 21.85 ft
