An electron vacuum moves in a circle of radius 23 cm, if the electron velocity is 0.95c(speed of light), what must be the force acting on it in newtons?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Here, massobserved =   9.11 * 10-31/sqrt(1 - 0.952)

                                 = 29.175 * 10-31 kg

radiusobserved =   23 * sqrt(1 - 0.952)

                        = 7.181 cm

As,    the force acting on it   = mv2/r

                                             = (29.175 * 10-31 * 0.95 * 0.95 * 3 * 108 * 3 * 108)/(0.07181)

                                           = 3.3 * 10-12 N
