Peoples belive that MMR vaccine causes Autism. But actually
there is no connection between the vaccine and autism.
AUTISM
It is a condition that affects thae brain and makes
communicating and interacting with other people more difficult. The
causes of autism is unknown, but genetics differences in brain
anatomy and toxic substances in the environment are thought to
contribute to children developing this condition.
- Much of the blame lies with a study published in 1998 a firmer
UK doctor Andrew Walkfield published a study in "The Lancet" that
suggested that the MMR vaccine might cause autism.it made 80% of 2
years children to stop taking MMR vaccine over a few years.
- And the research used in that study was found to be false, the
doctor who wrote it lost his medical licence by U.K General Medical
Council, and he started an anti vaccination campaign in Texas,
United States.
- In 2014 Wakefield directed a movie, Vaxxed, accusing the center
for Disease Control (CDC) of covering up the evidence that the MMR
vaccine could increase the risk of autism in black children.
- The CDC says the association was not because vaccines were
autism.
- One of the largest study was published in 2014 by the journal
vaccine and involved data on 1.3 million people.
- According to the researchers "the vaccination is not associated
with the development of autism or autism spectrum disorder, the
components of the vaccine or multiple vaccines are not associated
with the development of autism or autism spectrum disorder"
- Some of the kids have a reaction to a vaccine like mild fever
or rash. But its clear that the risk of serious reaction to the MMR
vaccine is small compared with a health risks associated with the
often serious disease they prevent.
