Management by objective (MBO) is an approach that focuses on the achievement of objectives by clearly define the roles and responsibilities of all the employees by both the sides that are the management and different department managers. It is also agreed upon by the employees. To have the implementation starting policy guidelines, it is very important that employees' performance is regularly checked and compared with the goals and objectives given separately to each team or the employee so that it can be improved with time. This approach is quite reliable and appropriate in this situation because it majorly focuses on the performance of employees through regular monitoring. This approach is also used while taking decisions for employee appraisal or promotion.
