Discuss three ways in which a company can protect it's Intellectual Property internationally.
A company can protect its intellectual property rights by the following methods :-
1. Filing of patents, copyright and trademark - the laws pertaining to patents, copyrights and trademarks are universally applicable to business and companies for protection of intellectual property internationally. There are proper laws, agreement and contracts to be addressed in international courts and forums that resolve any conflicts or prevent violation of intellectual property rights.
2. Non disclosure agreement and contracts with employees and external agencies associated with the invention or trade secrets can deter any attempts to share the business from violation of intellectual property rights and other valuable information. The source needs to be always involved in such agreements as they are responsible for creation and have rights over its use and taking steps for protection of their intellectual property.
3. Businesses can also protect its intellectual property rights internationally by having control on accessibility and limiting the reach of important business related information by storing them with proper authentication and use of passwords or lock keys to access. At times declaration of the trade secrets or intellectual property makes it easier for comprehending and copying it. Creating systems for protecting such information with proper provisions limiting the exposure can help in protecting the intellectual property rights internationally .
