Our lives are full of rich experiences in large part because of our different senses as they allow us to connect with our environment in a number of different ways. In what way would our world be different if the vast majority of people could not use one of the senses, such as sight, hearing, taste, or smell? Choose one of these senses and reflect on how society as a whole would adapt. Now suppose there was a situation where you were required to give up one of your senses. Which one would you choose to lose? Why? How do you think your other senses would change if you were to lose this sense? Which one would be most difficult to live without? Why?
If vast majority of people loose their sense to smell. They would take help of their eyes. For eg.perfumes would be chosen on based of their coolness or the way it appears. Food would be given preferance on its appearance and taste, which by and large still exists.
If I loose the sense of touch, there would be no thoughts that would come in my mind of touching something and experience it's beauty.fpr eg. Flowers, leaf, any soft object if I may see it's appearance only. Same would while choosing any dress material, it would not matter much whether it is cotton vor synthetic as long as it appears good. Eyes would work more. If I loose the touching sense. It would work in coordinating with the mind.
What I may miss by and large is touching big a human being, for eg, not experiencing warmth while hugging somebody. And missing the touch of your own baby. It is a pure delight to have your baby, to feel it in your own hands. So human touch and feelings associated with it would be lost.
