The Research question will be- effects of social media on the psychological well-being of students in a school. Independent variable used in the study is the number of hours spent on social media. The dependent variable will be psychological well being. Type of Research Design is correlational Research Design. To conduct this research, two scales will be used which will help in determination of the amount of time spent on social media by a particular subject in the research and the psychological well being of individuals which will be assessed using a scale of psychological well being. the experiment will be used to establish whether or not correlation is present between the two variables, to do this statistical tools such as Pearson correlation Coefficient can be analysed using the data that acquired by obtaining data from the subjects. The expected result of the research would be that there will be a negative correlation between the number of hours spent on social media and healthy psychological well being because social media can lead to low self esteem which can create obstruction in achieving psychological well being.
