Object distance u = ?

We know m = v/ u

From this object distance u = v / m

                                         = -26.42 / 0.587

                                         = -45 cm

(b). Focal length f = ?

from the relation (1/u) +(1/v) = (1/f)

     (1/-45)+(1/-26.42) = (1/f)

                                (1/f) = -0.06

                                    f = -16.64 cm
