What are the critical questions left (We still don’t know) regarding rqc2p (Rqc2p Protein Synthesis) and 60s ribosomal subunits mediate mRNA-independent elongation of nascent chains?

Solutions

Expert Solution

rqc2p is a component of RQC ( Ribosomes quality control complex).

During the stalled translation, dissociation of the 40s subunit of ribosomes is induced. After that the rqc2p is recruited to the 60s site of ribosomes.

rqc2p displaces the new gene towards the exit channel. After that it recruits the charged t-RNA to the A site of the ribosomes and directs the elongation of the nascent chain.

Imagine the Sun was dark and invisible. We would still know that we are moving in an elliptical orbit. As you know from class each ellipse has two foci. Is there a way for us to know which of the two foci the invisible Sun is at? Explain your answer. Astronomers recently proposed the existence of Planet Nine, which is 10 times more massive than the Earth, and believed to have a fairly eccentric orbit. If the new planet is...
