Should the industry’s pursuit of the public’s common good be limited to regulatory compliance and meeting the requirements of food safety laws, while leaving ethical principles a matter for legislatures, government regulatory agencies, and the courts to decide and mandate? In other words, should nutrition be an individual consumer responsibility and not the duty of the food industry or government?

Food is the most basic need of all living beings. But due to technological development and advancement ,the foods are prepared and preserved for days and months togetherwithout being spoiled.

The Food Standards Agency has a statutory objective to protectpublic health and consumers interest in relation to food. If it is not followed properly ,it leads to unnecessary burden on people and business. The FSA works along with the officers to ensure food and feed law is applied across entire food chain.This reulate the future os food industry

Food hygiene has to be monitored at primary level . Enforcement projects and any innovative approach has to be guided before implementation.The type , quantity of preservatives added should be the level permitted by the government regulatory agencies.

When considering the nutrition it should be the responsibility of both ,if the production happens according to the norms then it won't cause any harm to the consumer.The consumer when getting the food has to check for the quality of the product, expiry date,storage before consuming to avoid problem.
