As there can induce the Development of Anaphylactic Reactions in the patient which is Characterized by-

• abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting
• congestion, trouble breathing or wheezing
• skin reactions including itching or eczema
• swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat, ears, fingers, or hands
• lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting

- Hydrocortisone

The purpose of tapering the dose of prednisolone is that as it is Steroid and works similar to cortisol, a hormone naturally made by the adrenal glands. If prednisolone is taken for than a few weeks, the adrenal glands decrease cortisol production. A gradual reduction in prednisone dosage gives your adrenal glands time to resume its normal function. Hence, it is necessary to taper the dose of Predinsolone.
