Patient may be depressed about direct physical symptoms caused by the infections wound such as pain and indirectly through the limitations on activities, work capacity, social activity and personal hygiene.

Provide psychological support and correct instructions and guidelines to take care of wound.

Tell him to be calm and courageous and it's easy for him as he was a military man.

Instruct the patient that the psychological stress can affect the healing process .So instructions to be mentally active.

Spend more time with family members and friends. .Think about the military stories and discuss it with other members.

Engage in more divertional activities such as reading books, listening to music etc.

Engage in small activities to avoid bordom .

Watch movies or documentaries etc.

Be a member in social support groups online, talking to the people with similar problems and recovered will help to reduce anxiety and stress .
