The Person Interviewed:

What is the occupation/job title of the person you interviewed and why did you select this individual? The job title of the person whom I interviewed is crew member. I selected her just because I really admire her hardworking nature, effective communication skills, good bond with co-workers and manager, she is very honest, hardworking, and genuine person. How did this person end up in this career? The name of that person is Rachna Danoda. She ends up in this career when she came to Canada in year 2019 as a student. As, many students need to work as well as study to fulfil their expenses and she was also interested in food line she did pastry and bakery course. So, these were the reasons why she chooses to do job in MC DONALD. What is one interesting thing about this person’s career pathway that was surprising to you or inspiring? The one interested thing about this person’s career pathway is that she decided to go in food line when she was in 6th standard. And she pursued her higher studies in food line after that she is doing job in the same field. And this inspired me a lot.

According to the interviewee, what are the requirements to work in this job? According to the interview, the requirements that are needed to work in this job are time management, good communication skills, understanding, active listening, patience, and good knowledge about food. What skills and qualities did the interviewee say were essential to successfully work in this field? The skills and qualities which are necessary to be successful in this field are same as above that are time management, good communication skills, understanding, active listening, patience, and good knowledge about food. According to your interviewee, what does a typical day look like in their occupation?   According to the interview, a typical day look like handling costumers, taking orders, doing working usefully with the team and alone also.

The Industry:

What are the possible work environments for this occupation? (For example, a nurse can work in a hospital, nursing home, school, military etc.) The possible work environment for this occupation is they can do catering, they can work in restaurants, can do hotel management and other food industries where they can handle and prepare things related to food. What are the future trends for the industry? Change in lifestyle of people will change the trend of food industry in future. People will prefer preservative food which will save their time. Packaging and production will be more earth friendly. Food industry will focus on sustainability. What are the current and future needs of this industry / field?                                                       The current and future needs for food industry is and will be food safety and transparency, innovation and differentiation, will help to drive ambitious actions to mitigate climate change, will join the forces with closed loop partners to develop a global recyclable or compostable cup solutions.

Next Steps:

What suggestions were made to you if you choose to pursue this type of work? The suggestion which were made for me if I choose to pursue this type of work was that I have to be very attentive, I have to be good listener, there should be a lot of patience in me, I should have good leadership quality. What is the educational path required to prepare for this career? The education path which is required to prepare for this career could be hotel management, bakery and pastry, study about catering. In what ways can you see yourself doing this type of work? Please be specific. I am a very good listener, I can work in group as well as individually, I have good leadership quality, I can handle number of people at one time without getting nervous and without doing any mistake. These are some ways, or we can also say some ways that I see myself doing this job well.

Yes, I meet one thing new before this interview I used to think that food industry is the most boring an useless but now I like it a lot and if it will be possible I will do work in this field too.
