#3: A6 year old child is brought to the emergency department by her parents in respiratory distress. The parents state this started right after eating sandwiches. They say this has never happened before. When asked what she ate, the mom says "PBJ on whole wheat bread, celery and carrot sticks, adn chocolate milk" The physician is suspecting a peanut allergy.
A. The mother states to you, the nurse, that she is very concerned because this has not happened before and the child eats peanut butter all the time. How should you respond?
B. Identify some ways to determining if there is allergy to peanuts.

A)
Tell to her mother that,
-An allergic response to peanuts usually occur within minutes after exposure.It's signs and symptoms can include skin reactions such as hives,redness,swelling.Itching around the mouth and throat.Digestive problem success diarrhoea,stomach cramps,nausea and vomiting.
-Allogenic proteins are grouped by protein families like cupins,prolamins,profilin. Peanuts and soybeans have proteins in the the cupin, prolamins and profilin families.
B)
There are some ways to determine the peanut allergy.
-Symptoms of peanut allergy can range from mild to severe.In case of mild reactions,stomach ache,runny nose,itching eyes,hives and tingling in lips can find.
-The symptom may start from within a few minute to a few hours after eating peanut or peanut products.
C)
NURSING DIAGNOSIS
1)Ineffective breathing pattern.
2)Impaired gas exchange.
3)Decreased cardiac output.
4)Deficient knowledge.
