A REFLECTION PAPER (PARAGRAPH) ABOUT WHAT I WILL POST DOWN:
This week's assignments are focused on three types of human resources management interventions:
Although all three change programs are relatively new to organization development, they offer powerful methods for managing employee and work group performance. Developing trends point to an increasingly diverse workforce where OD interventions have to be adapted to a diverse set of personal preferences, needs, and lifestyles. Employee stress and wellness interventions acknowledge the connection between worker health and organization productivity.
Additionally, performance management and leadership development programs seek to build leadership skills, socialize managers and leadership in values believed to be important to the organization, and help execute strategic change agendas. These programs can focus on an organization, a department, an employee, or even the processes to build a product or service by aligning organizational resources, systems and employees to strategic objectives and priorities.
Learning Objectives:
Research HR journals, books, texts, articles and websites to support facts discussed in the term paper, citing references.
The primary goal of human resource management is to set up policies, practices, and systems that ensure maximum utilization of the human capital in the most efficient way in order to achieve organizational growth while enhancing the learning capacity of the organizational members and keeping them sufficiently motivated. In order to create such a work environment the human resource management should inculcate the following strategies:
Firstly, the organization should have clear and well-defined goals that leads to tangible results. There should be a proper roadmap in order to achieve these targets and the same should be communicated to the employees in no ambiguous terms. Secondly, the employees should be allowed to set their own personal goals with this target framework. This would allow them to align their personal goals with the company's vision. Lastly, the HR policy should hire on those people that can acclimatize to the company's work environment.
The workforce diversity trends that are shaping the labor market of today’s organizations are that organizations are seeing an increasingly diverse group of workers working that come from various strata of the society such as ethnic groups, religious minorities, and non-binary gender groups. There is an increasing trend of an inclusive environment at the workplace that celebrates gender equality and social diversity.
