Can you name an advantage two-way anova has over a one-way anova?
The two-way ANOVA compares the differences of means between groups that have been split on two independent variables called as factors. The primary purpose of a two-way ANOVA is to understand whether there is an interaction between the two independent variables on the dependent variable.
One-way or two-way ANOVA depends on the number of independent variables involved in the ANOVA testing. In a one-way layout, you have one independent variable affecting a dependent variable. Two-way ANOVA is an extension of one-way ANOVA. With a two-way ANOVA, there are two independents. For example, a two-way ANOVA allows a company to compare worker productivity based on two independent variables, say salary and skill set.
In two-way ANOVA two or more than two categorical independent groups in two factors whereas in one-way ANOVA two or more than two categorical independent groups in an independent variable.
