I am curious to see how the amount of 'theft' from online purchases compares to that of in store theft. Have you had a positive or negative customer service experience from a web based business?

Online is also prone to theft like the offline store is. However, online shopping could have some bigger and serious consequences for customers making a purchase as well as for the store. The customer could receive a defective product with no return policy or his card details could be stolen by a third party. Also, the store could be attacked by a cyber attacker stealing important details of its customers.

Yes, I had negative service experience from a web-based business. I bought a jacket last winter. Since it was a new company, I decided to go with pay on delivery instead of paying in advance. The product reached me through a third party, I paid the amount and received the order. When I opened the package, it had a different jacket that I did not like even a bit. Unfortunately, no name of the company was mentioned on the package that I noticed later on. I reached the website of the company and it showed no item was dispatched from their end even my purchase history was deleted from the site. The deal did cost me $10.
