1. Using Visio (or powerpoint diagram as long as it uses the same symbols) prepare a cause-and-effect diagram (fishbone diagram) for “Why customers could have long waits when they are getting coffee at Trader Bings. (To access the cause-and-effect template just use the Visio search option.)
2. Using lean principles make two recommendations that would improve the process.
2. Recommendations to improve the process at Trader Bings:
· Effective employee awareness and training is the key here. Employees need to emphasized the importance of customer responsiveness and standard timelines for the primary processes at Trader Bings. Value Stream mapping must be done so that process flows can be well illustrated to the employees. This will help in enhancing their overall efficiency and hence decreasing the customer wait time in the Trader Bings outlets.
· More Billing POS need to be installed in the outlets so that customer order billing can be done fast and the overall wait time of the customers, at the outlet can be reduced substantially.
