You will play the role of a researcher, interested in gathering data on Girl Scout Cookie sales. This can easily be done by setting up a table near where the girl scouts sell their cookies and surveying people after they’ve made their purchase.
Question 1: How many cookies you purchased?
Question 2: what about the taste of the cookies?( 1.excellent, 2. Good, 3. Average, 4. Poor)
Question 3: How often do you wish to visit here? ( 1. Ones in a Week 2. Twice in a week, 3. Ones in month 4. Twice in a week 5. Not at all)
Here we have three variables. Number of cookies ( quantitative variables), taste ( qualitative variables), frequency of visit( qualitative variables).
Here number of cookies is quantitative variable which is discrete variable which can take any natural number including zero. Since the number of cookies be a natural number.never be a fractional number.
Survey is conducted based on one girl scout cookie shop on a region. Based on a particular region we can't generalize the result to the overall population. If we randomly select a number of girls scout cookie shop and conduct survey based on any particular scheme then we can generalize the result. But in this case we can't.
