I'm going to take Unilever as an example and briefly explain which one of the five porters' generic competitive strategy is pursued by Unilever.
It is noted that Unilever follows the porter's generic competitive strategy and is doing really well in the market. Unilever is considered to earn a very good amount of profit throughout the year. This company works on a global level and serve its product and services globally to the people.
one of the main five porter's generic competitive strategies that are pursued by the Unilever is COST LEADERSHIP. The main motive of Unilever is to reduce its cost by means of producing products and services in quantities. it is also noted that Unilever does not just deal with one country but Unilever works at a global level which is also caused it to earn a lot of profit globally. By opting this the cost of the products reduced to you very extent and with the quality the consumers are really satisfied. this has led to the two benefits consecutively to Unilever as the reduction in the coast has led to increasing gang profits and the good quality has led to loyal customers and great relationships with customers. Unilever deals in many products which are mainly of the daily use of the consumer, this has also lead to a reduction in the coast and increment in the profits of Unilever.
