There are trade-offs among the prime objectives of project management because one variable need to lose for the other to gain for example with the market need objective several alternatives or substitutes to projects are considered so that demand is not compromised when duplication of a project occurs.
The customer needs objective should be considered so that a consistent demand of the need is foreseen, trade-offs to commission a project whose demand is variable makes the project redundant at a point and resources used may not be economically utilized therefore, increased and consistent need for a new project for example health services increase competition thus result in increase in service quality delivery.
The social needs of the project to make it affordable by involving the use of technology for the efficiency of the activities, the trade-off in this objective increase the well-being of the society and decrease the desire of the few whose social status is higher.
