Find the mean, median mode(s), range, standard deviation, and variance of the data: 21, 15, 16, 25, 13, 18 5, 3, 2, 6, 5, 2, 5
Here we need to use EXCEL to find the mean, median, mode(s), range, standard deviation and variance of the data.

1. Mean
To calculate mean in excel we use the AVERAGE() function in EXCEL. Within the brackets we put the cell range of which we want to calculate the mean. Like here we use "=AVERAGE(A2:A14)"
Then press ENTER.
2. Median
To calculate median in excel we use the MEDIAN() function in EXCEL. Within the brackets we put the cell range of which we want to calculate the median. Like here we use "=MEDIAN(A2:A14)"
Then press ENTER.
3. Mode
To calculate mode in excel we use the MODE() function in EXCEL. Within the brackets we put the cell range of which we want to calculate the mode. Like here we use "=MODE(A2:A14)"
Then press ENTER.
4. Range
Now there is no range function in EXCEL so we know that,
So we use "=MAX(A2:A14)-MIN(A2:A14)"
where MAX() and MIN() are the functions to find the maximum and minimum in a data set.
Then press ENTER.
5. Standard Deviation
Now here we are given a sample so we find the sample standard deviation of the given data using EXCEL.
To calculate sample standard deviation in excel we use the STDEV.S() function in EXCEL. Within the brackets we put the cell range of which we want to calculate the sample standard deviation. Like here we use "=STDEV.S(A2:A14)"
Then press ENTER.
6. Variance
Now here we are given a sample so we find the sample variance of the given data using EXCEL.
To calculate sample variance in excel we use the VAR.S() function in EXCEL. Within the brackets we put the cell range of which we want to calculate the sample variance. Like here we use "=VAR.S(A2:A14)"
Then press ENTER.
