According to political scientist Graham Allison, in 12 of 16 past cases in which a rising power has confronted a ruling power the result has been bloodshed. Some analysts worry that as China closes the power gap between itself and the US tensions will rise and create opportunities for misperception and war. Is there evidence that tensions between China and the US are increasing in a dangerous fashion? Also, do you believe conflict can be avoided, if so how?

Is there evidence that tensions between China and the US are increasing in a dangerous fashion? Also, do you believe conflict can be avoided, if so how?

Tensions between China and the US are increasing in a dangerous fashion,as a evidence I would like to highlight the matter that ,The trade war between the United States and China launched by President Donald Trump has been escalating in recent weeks with Trump threatening to raise tariffs on all Chinese imports and declaring a national emergency shutting Huawei out of the U.S. market. U.S.-China relations have become increasingly concerned about the future of this most consequential bilateral relationship. The relationship has become more competitive than cooperative due to structural conflicts as both sides are struggling to adjust to changes in the international system. The coronavirus has pushed US-China relations to their worst point,Trump has attracted criticism .blaming china for pandemic ,and calling Covid-19 the" chinese Virus".He has also fallen out dramatically with the WHO over it's treatment to china, accusing the UN's health agency of being "china -centric".He has also halted U.S. funding from the organization,so these are the evidence that   tensions between China and the US are increasing in a dangerous fashion.

I don't think the conflict between China & USA can be avoided ,as The coronavirus has pushed US-China relations to their worst point,as they both are powerful in some aspects ,they are not interested to come in a mutual condition,so conflict between can increase in near future.
