1) IT Project Management:

IT project management is defined to be the process meant for planning or delineating or organizing the responsibilities for the smooth functioning of the organization with the help of specific information technologies goals.

The project management function would include the following functions like software development, hardware installations, cloud computing, network upgrades, virtualization rollouts, data management projects, implementation of IT services, and business analytics.

Some of the factors in the IT management which can negatively affect the success of the project are because of the project execution, infrastructure change which impacts the security as well as the data management.

Project management includes initiation of the project with the help of requirement gathering, negotiation with the client, documentation and contract sign off etc, plan for the project by having a team structure, assigning work, identifying the hierarchy of the team and also knowing the deliverable timelines, execution of the work and release of the work to the client as per the timeline specified, monitoring and controlling the activities like the batch processes, adhering to the timeline of the deliverables, understanding the loopholes and defects and fixing it. Finally is the closure of the project when the system is with a minimal defect and smoothly running.
