Machine guides are used to position and guide a workpiece in saws, routers, and other cutting equipment. In order to maintain an accurate cut, a template or a jig is required for control. These templates and jigs are cumbersome, are typically not always available, and can lack accuracy when in use. Machine fences, machine stops, and machine guides are a better alternative in this scenario. Machine fences, machine stops, and machine guides provide an accurate and repeatable guide for a workpiece in a:
Some machine fences, machine stops, and machine guides (especially for routers) may guide the router instead of the workpiece.Machine guides systems are generally constructed of machined cast aluminum and steel for durability, and feature twin micro-adjusting knobs with excellent accuracy and range. These individual adjusting machine fences, machine stops, and machine guides systems permit the infeed and outfeed fences to adjust separately for jointer use and other special applications.
Machine guides also include saw end stops. A saw end stop assembly for an automatic cut-off saw includes an ejector plate. This has an extended position for receiving the cut-off leading end of each material, as well as an ejection stroke after cut-off to eject the cut-off end from the cutting position. The stop assembly has a movable stop along the infeed path for arresting each incoming unit in cutting position. Some special features of machine fences, machine stops, and machine guides are angular adjustments and position indicators. Also, certain machine fences, machine stops, and machine guides manufacturers offer machine fences that provide durability, while remaining sturdy and portable.

fitment
Something that suits or fits.A thing fitted to another in order to accomplish a specific purpose. It is similar to fit.A fit may be defined as the degree of tightness and looseness between two mating parts.A fit may be defined as the degree of tightness and looseness between two mating parts.

Tolerance can be defined as the magnitude of permissible variation of a dimension or other measured value from the specified value.t can also be defined as the total variation permitted in the size of a dimension, and is the algebraic difference between the upper and lower acceptable dimensions. It is an absolute value.
The basic purpose of providing tolerances is to permit dimensional variations in the manufacture of components, adhering to the performance criterion as established by the specification and design.
If high performance is the sole criterion, then functional requirements dictate the specification of tolerance limits; otherwise, the choice of setting tolerance, to a limited extent, may be influenced and determined by factors such as methods of tooling and available manufacturing equipment.
The industry follows certain approved accuracy standards, such as ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), to manufacture different parts. As the permissive tolerance goes on decreasing, the manufacturing cost incurred to achieve it goes on increasing exponentially. When the permissive tolerance limits are relaxed without degrading the functional requirements, the manufacturing cost decreases.

A backsaw is a specialized handsaw for cutting tenons (joints or grooves) in wood. The blade is rectangular, 8 to 14 inches in length, with a hardwood or plastic handle and a metal-reinforced back edge (opposite the teeth) to keep the blade from bending while cutting. There are 11 to 20 teeth, or points, per inch. Backsaws are used to cut across the wood grain similar to the larger and more flexible crosscut saw.
When buying a back saw, it is important to consider the teeth. The finer the teeth, the better. You’ll also see the size of the teeth listed on saws. Any good saw manufacturer is going to match the size of the teeth to the kind of work that the saw is best for.

A claw hammer is a tool primarily used for driving nails into, or pulling nails from, some other object.Classic hammers are designated by head weight: 16 to 20 oz. is good for DIY use, with 16 oz. good for trim and shop use, 20 oz. better for framing and demo.
