The welding fumes which may make a serious respiratory disease like cancer of lungs, urinary tract, kidney damage, short term interaction may make nausea, dizziness, nose eye throat irritation, etc.
Here approach to evaluating occupational exposure to welding fumes by taking a sample of welding fumes and it is necessary to take a sample to measure the concentration and content. Samples are taking in the breathing zone of the worker to determine the concentration over a certain period of time.
Whether I would use an area sample because here the all harmful gases come in the working zone and affect all workers.
To evaluate the risk with the exposure safety by OSHA proposed a safety limit of 8 hours TWA of 5 kg/m^3 for welding which is a safe limit for health while working in the welding zone for a worker. If in the working zone during the working hours if fumes content level crosses that limit then start harming the worker so the company is responsible for time to time measurement of welding fumes.
The risk of the respiratory system mainly occurs in the worker body system and the company should maintain the minimum level of welding time for the safety of workers' health.
