The word broadband, is usually refers to high-speed Internet access, it is faster than the traditional dial-up access. Broadband includes several high-speed transmission technologies such as:

  • Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)
  • Cable Modem
  • Fiber
  • Wireless
  • Satellite
  • Broadband over Powerlines (BPL)

The broadband you choose will depend on a some factors. These factors may depend on your location like urban or rural area,also how broadband Internet access is packaged with other services (like voice calls and entertainment), cost, and availability. Further this can share its services to other devices (Like in mobiles(such as Iphone or Nexus etc) ).

Q2) The purpose of an IP address and its relationship to a domain name

Ans: The IP address and domain name are two different identities, but their roles are the same as the world.

The IP and domain will connect and support each other, the IP address needs the domain name to function properly. So does to the domain name, it cannot go online without connecting to IP address.

IP address formed in a 30-bit numeric address, consists of four groups of numbers divided by dots. 1.160.10.240 (four different group numbers). Every group number represents a network, there is no fixed format on IP address but each of them is unique and different. The IP address can work on either side, it can be a network for a domain name or a host for networks.

Ans: Features of browsers are:

1. Navigation buttons: To navigate from one tab to another or anywhere within the page
2. Refresh button: Here the current page can be refresh whenever an fault occurs.
3. Stop button: To stop the loading of the page
4. Home button: To redirect from anywhere to home page
5. Web browser's address bar : A bar which provide a textarea to type url.

Components of a web address:

1. Protocol: It defines how your browser handles the data and what type of connection is established.
2. Domain Name: It is the unique identifier for the website on the internet.
3. Domain Extension: denote what type of website it is. Like .com, .in, .org etc
4. Path & Filename: It indicates to your browser folder or file to open.
