how can I balance my emotions and reasons when I'm making an critical thinking decision
To make critical decisions, we need the full connection and concentration of our cognitive functions, something convoluted whenever we are emotional and therefore in order for us to balance our emotions and make critical decisions, we should:
1. Acknowledge that we are emotional and refrain from making
rash decisions, especially if we can postpone the decision-making
process to another time.
2. Logic can surely be utilized whenever we are emotional. For
example, if we are excited, we can be sure that our decisions can
be biased towards highly optimistic considerations and
circumstances, therefore, we can make decisions that logic dictates
in order to keep the influence to a minimum.
3. We can balance between logic and emotions, making sure logic is
considered more by creating a list of PROS and CONS for our
decision, listing all appropriate factors that are the necessary
constraints of the system and utilize it better.
