the composition of each group |
5 members who all are my batch mates in my psychology class. |
10 members of different age group in my colony. |
type of groups |
Work-related |
personal |
mission of the group |
Yes, the values and mission of the group are apparent. The mission of the group was to complete the data collection process in the study of homeschooling trends in a time-bound manner. |
The group was formed to perform a group dance in an annual function held in our residential colony. Mission and vision were not apparent as everything happened in a very informal manner. |
Values of the group |
Core values of the group included Follow ethical rules of research like informed-consent rules and maintain the secrecy of respondents as promised. These all were apparent as were mentioned in the preamble. Everything written there was implemented not just by letter but in spirit too. |
In order to perform well, we were instructed to be punctual, co-operative and practice more. But these instructions were never followed strictly. |
attitudes of individual members |
Individual members took pride to be a part of a group. Each of them was skilled and talented in different ways. The strength of each individual resulted in a strong team. Apart from technical skills, everyone showcased positive personality traits like being co-operative, punctual and hardworking. They all were committed and compliant. Because of such a strong team, we were able to complete our mission before time with excellent records and even bagged the best group title for that. |
Attitudes of individuals were conflicting. Some were serious about the performance and wanted to do the best as a team while others just wanted to outshine themselves by not co-operating with not so good dancers. Some were not punctual while others were not regular in their practice. Because of such attitudes, our group failed to showcase our dance act as choreographed. There was no synchronization and lack of sincerity and practice was evident in the final show. |
group-leader |
There was no leader as the work was equally distributed according to the interest areas of the members. Also, since all were batch mates, there was a cordial relationship amongst all. |
The eldest of all and a very good dancer tried her best to make the best team. She put all her efforts and it was her determination that we were at least prepared to perform. She acted as a good leader and maintained her level of patience to get a bunch of restless souls to tap their feet together. |
