Hi,
I have research about IKEA Company and I need below information,
1-Is the evaluation and control process appropriate for a corporation that emphasizes creativity? Are control and creativity compatible?
Yes, Evaluation and Control process is appropriate for a Corporation that emphasizes creativity because Control and envaluation process helps employees to know the performance level and achievement in the organization. We know that evaluation means setting performance standards and measure these standards with actual performance of employees then give them feedback.
When Employees see their actual growth from start of the job to years they have been working then they see that they have achieved a lot. They started to create more ideas and innovations. It is like school results where top class students wait for results and see that they got A+ in the results. This motivate them and make them more creative.
when there is no control and evaluation then all remain in dark and not able to know who perform what and which employee is creative and innovative.
I would say Control is not much compatible as Compared to evaluation because control involves monitoring actions of employees but some employee tends to be more creative when they are working without anyone seeing them. They like autonomy and not micromanaging. So control is not so much compatible but it is required to make sure employees are performing thier job with creativity or not.
2-How can corporate culture be changed?
Corporate culture involves a Culture of values, beliefs, norms shared by people in the organization. The change of culture in an organization can happen but require efforts and time from top Management. Top leaders like CEO, Directors, chairman etc are those key people who can change corporate culture. Employees follow what is set by these leaders.
for example- A company's corporate culture is to take bribe for business and focus on growth of male employees but when new CEO comes and new CEO implement fair policies for promotion and prohibit illegal activities like taking bribe then all employees follow that culture.
It is like lead by example which is very important to change corporate culture.
3) How is the cellular/modular structure different from the network structure? Give atleast three differences 200
The cellular or modular structure is an organizational structure where tasks and responsibilities re separated but work together to achieve the set goals and responsibilities of the company. For instance, a company is divided into different departments that have specific roles and responsibilities but which are in line with the goals of the company. SABIC is divided into product distribution department, finance department, customer care department, and even the inventory department. These departments are flexible enough to lay down the particular strategies that will be used by the department to accomplish its tasks. Network structure, on the other hand, refers to a less hierarchical organizational structure that is more centralized. In this case, the company is not divided into many departments or business units. Therefore, the employees can be assigned any task or responsibility in the organization without a particular division. In addition, network structure promotes more interaction of the employees than the cellular or modular structure. The network structure is a less flexible organizational structure, and hence the employees have to follow the general strategies established by the company to achieve the set goals and responsibilities. The employees are not allowed to make their own strategies even if they will still help in achieving the goals of the organization.
If its helpful, a thumbs up, pls
