describe and discuss how grief can impact a marriage, gender, or a child. provide a brief situational example. what should a mental health professional consider when providing intervention for this example
One of the most important factors that would make human beings lose their confidence is loss of a loved one. When one loses one’s loved one, especially a dependent wife who loses her husband would come as a big blow not only in terms of emotional distress but also about the amount of hardships she would undergo without him. For example, she has to start everything anew such as, starting to look for a job, cope with loneliness, raise the children alone etc. this would mean that grieving would really make them dull and break them to dust. It thus becomes important for the counsellor to bring them back to reality by helping them accept the fact that they have to live on this earth in order to fulfil their own destiny. They could be made to understand that it’s important to stabilize oneself before looking for a new relationship in which they would become dependent. If they have children, they would have a purpose but in the absence of any children, they would still be free to work things for them in terms of looking for a job, finding a partner and start life anew.
