Liberalism may be defined in terms of a political or social philosophy advocating the freedom of the individual parliamentary systems of goverment , economic institutions to assure unrestricted development in all round development of human endeavor.Government takes all measures to protect individuals rights &civil liberties.these principles are universal .

Liberalism generally support civil rights, democracy, secularism ,gender & race equality internationalism & freedom of speech, the press, religion & market. Human beings are seen to be born equal ie has same moral worth ,All people are legally & politically equal .every one has same opportunity to rise or fall -MERITCRACY. There should not be any discrimination based on color , gender, sexuality or diability

A nationalist will be willing to surrender some of his individual rights in the interest of the nation usually the state for a good common cause for the benefit of the country, in the period of tension- as civil war or threat of terror. we can say that a nationalist sacrifices its rights inorder to deal with immediate threat to the state or country.

When the personal security of a nations individuals is seen as a paramount then the individuals pull it in a different direction . in case we view the versions of Liberalism & Nationalism as in direct conflict over rights .its quite possible for opposing these views.

As the phrase says --ALL HUMANS ARE SOCIAL ANIMALS , relationship between should be co-operation not competition because it is very negative aspect , competition pushes a person towards selfishness & aggression, itis the belief of a socialist that people can be motivated by moral incentives & not by material incentives ( money).
